Accessibility Statement
Bloomvite is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities.
Last updated: April 2026
Our Commitment
At Bloomvite, we believe that everyone should be able to access and use our platform regardless of their abilities. We are committed to providing an inclusive experience and are continuously working to improve the accessibility of our website and services.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines provide a framework for making web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, language, learning, and neurological disabilities.
Accessibility Features
Keyboard Navigation
Full keyboard access to all features. Use Tab to navigate between elements and Enter or Space to activate them. Skip links allow quick navigation to main content areas.
Screen Reader Support
Semantic HTML and ARIA labels throughout the platform. We use descriptive alt text and properly structured headings for compatibility with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
Color & Contrast
WCAG AA contrast ratios for all text and interactive elements. We avoid using color as the sole means of conveying information, ensuring readability for users with color vision deficiencies.
Responsive Design
Works on all screen sizes from mobile phones to large desktop monitors. The interface supports browser text zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
Clear Navigation
Consistent, predictable navigation across all pages. Breadcrumbs, clear page titles, and logical heading hierarchy help users understand where they are and how to find what they need.
Form Accessibility
All form fields have visible labels, descriptive error messages, and proper focus management. Required fields are clearly indicated and validation errors are announced to screen readers.
Menu Accessibility
Invitations and RSVP pages created with Bloomvite are built with accessibility in mind. We ensure that every guest, regardless of ability, can open an invite and RSVP with ease.
Semantic HTML Structure
Menus use proper heading levels, lists, and landmarks so screen readers can convey the menu structure accurately.
High Contrast Text
Menu item names, descriptions, and prices are displayed with sufficient contrast for comfortable reading in various lighting conditions.
Scalable Text Sizes
All menu text uses relative units and responds to browser zoom settings, allowing customers to enlarge text as needed without breaking layout.
Touch-Friendly Targets
Interactive elements on menus meet minimum touch target sizes (at least 44x44px) so users with motor impairments can tap accurately on mobile devices.
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, we want to be transparent about areas where limitations currently exist:
- Some older PDF menus uploaded by users may not be fully accessible or properly tagged for screen readers.
- Third-party embedded content (such as payment forms from Stripe) may have varying levels of accessibility.
- User-uploaded images may lack descriptive alt text. We encourage hosts to add descriptions to their uploaded images.
- Custom themes selected by hosts may not always meet contrast requirements. We provide guidance on accessible color choices.
- Some complex interactive features like the drag-and-drop menu editor may have limited accessibility. We provide alternative workflows for these features.
We are actively working to address these limitations and improve accessibility across the entire platform. Our development roadmap includes accessibility improvements as a priority.
Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing journey, not a one-time task. Here is what we are doing to continuously improve:
Regular Audits
We perform quarterly accessibility audits using automated tools and manual testing with assistive technologies.
Team Training
Our development and design teams receive accessibility training to ensure new features are built inclusively from the start.
User Feedback
We actively seek feedback from users who rely on assistive technologies and incorporate their input into our development process.
Standards Monitoring
We stay current with evolving accessibility standards and best practices, including updates to WCAG and emerging assistive technologies.
Feedback & Contact
If you encounter any accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, we would love to hear from you. Your feedback helps us make Bloomvite better for everyone.
When reporting an accessibility issue, please include the page URL, the assistive technology you are using (if any), and a description of the barrier you encountered. This helps us investigate and resolve issues more quickly.
