The short answer
QR codes at weddings do three useful things: link guests to your invite and RSVP, link to a shared photo gallery, and — only with the right tool — check guests in at the door. The first two are common; door check-in is rare and is Bloomvite's specialty.
Put a QR on your save-the-dates and signage to send guests to the invite. Add one at the reception for a shared gallery. And the one almost nobody offers: a per-guest QR pass you scan at the entrance to check guests in.
Frequently asked questions
Are QR codes tacky at a wedding?
Not when they're done tastefully. A small, elegant QR on signage or a printed card is now common — and a QR pass at the door is faster and calmer than a clipboard.
